The University Committee for Research & Innovation is pleased to offer the following prizes each year.

Research Outputs Prize for Early Career Researchers

This University prize recognises and celebrates excellent research work by early career researchers. One prize is awarded for each Research Theme and the announcement is made at the Research Excellence event each year.

Research Engagement and Impact Awards

These Awards recognise and reward colleagues who undertake or support high-quality engagement and impact activities. Entrants can be at any level in their careers, and activities of any scale are welcome. Research engagement and impact takes many forms and we encourage applications from all research themes and associated functions within the University.

Open Research Awards

The Award was launched following the adoption of the University Statement on Open Research to recognise and reward colleagues who have used open practices to make their research more accessible, transparent or reproducible. Entry is open to both staff and PhD students, who may apply either as individuals or as teams. The Awards run every 2 years and will next take place in 2023.
