Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

The University provides an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which is an independent, free, confidential support and counselling service which is run by CIC and is called Confidential Care.

Confidential Care gives you a place to turn for support any time of day or night, 365 days a year. Support is available for whatever issues you might be facing, including work stress, depression, marriage and relationship issues, legal concerns, coping with change, parenting issues, financial problems, health issues and much more.

Confidential Care offers both emotional and practical support.

Experienced, professional counsellors are available to listen to your concerns, determine appropriate resources, and then help you take the next steps. Confidential Care is provided by CIC and all counsellors are fully accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Everyday Matters is a wide-ranging personal assistance service to help you to accomplish any task that you don't have the time or knowledge to manage yourself.

FAMILY CARE

This offers child, elder and dependent care information.

For support with all child, elder and disability care issues. From finding a care home for an elderly relative to locating a playgroup in your area, all suppliers are thoroughly vetted.

WELL ONLINE PORTAL AND APP

Well Online is a wellbeing portal which offers information and advice to help you optimise your health and wellbeing. (Please use either Google Chrome or updated version of Microsoft Edge)

It has information and leaflets covering a multitude of areas including the following:

You can also access the Well Online portal by downloading an App.
