Professor Lovegrove's main research interests include investigations of the nutritional influences of metabolic syndrome development and increased cardiovascular disease risk, including nutrient-gene interactions. Of particular interest is the impact of dietary fats, carbohydrates and phytochemicals on vascular reactivity, insulin resistance and lipid metabolism in different population groups.
