Background

Sarah is a lecturer on the Physician Associate Programme at the School of Chemistry, Food and Pharmacy. Sarah has lectured undergraduate and postgraduate nursing and allied healthcare students for over fifteen years. She currently specialises in the education of postgraduate Physician Associate students, teaching a variety of clinical subjects including applied anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, core clinical skills, and interpersonal communication. Sarah has a robust background in bioscience research, including a neuroscience fellowship at Brown University, USA.

She completed her PhD in developmental biology at the Institute of Child Health, University College London, which focussed on choroid plexus development relating to craniosynostosis syndromes. Sarah's professional background originated in children's nursing at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. Sarah's combination of skills and experience in healthcare-related research and education has enabled her to develop a new role as a Physician Associates Fellow, supporting newly qualified Physician Associates in primary care, supported by Health Education England.
