Academic/Research Visitors
At SCFP we encourage collaboration with other Universities and Institutions throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
In order to ensure that any proposed work is suitable and can be undertaken at SCFP all academic visitors must be approved by either your Head of Department and/or the Head of School (in some cases a visa may be required).
Day Visitors
If your visitor is attending for only one or two days then formal notification is not required. It is your responsibility to ensure that they are made aware of any SCFP emergency procedures and policies relevant to their stay.
Visitors under 1 month
Please obtain permission from your Head of Department and then contact SCFP Safety to discuss your requirements and arrange a Safety Inductions.
Visitors over 1 month
Compete the SCFP visitor form and return to your Departmental Contact. Once the approval process has been completed your form will be forwarded to SCFP Safety.
You will receive an email approximately one week prior to your visitor's arrival with a time/location of their Safety Induction.
