Yevgeniya is particularly interested in the use of wearables, biological signal processing and mathematical modelling of brain-body interactions linked to emotions to enhance our understanding of the interconnection between physical and mental health/performance, and the role different factors (e.g. social, environmental and genetic) play in defining this interconnection.

Background
After obtaining her PhD degree from the University of Essex in 2009, Yevgeniya has worked in pure industrial and academic environments, as well as on projects connecting the two. As a full-time academic now, she enjoys collaborating with commercial companies, governmental organisations and charities to inform the theoretical development of artificial intelligence techniques to ensure they work in practice and help solve critical social, environmental and healthcare problems.Professional bodies/affiliations
