Eduroam wireless connectivity map

The University of Reading Wireless Network infrastructure is based on the Eduroam standard. There are now 366 sites and 132 member organisations in the UK, which includes Further Education, Research and Higher Education organisations, and it is notable that a majority of HE organisations are now participating.

IT Services recommend that should you be travelling to other institutions and wish to use wireless networking, that you should have Eduroam configured on your laptop or mobile device.

The Trans-European Research and Education Networking Association (TERENA) have started working on a real-time Google map of Eduroam availability within Europe. At the highest level, the map shows the number of sites per country that have eduroam enabled, and clicking on a country's marker allows you to easily identify the locations.
